🎙️The “Fezziwig Experience” Every Chiropractic Associate Deserves—Dr. Kelli Bombei

August 14, 20262 min read

“ Make your practice the kind of place someone looks back on as one of the best growth experiences of their life. - Dr. Kelli Bombei

On this episode of the Mile High Podcast, you'll hear from Dr. Kelli Bombei, a chiropractor, practice owner, and founder of ChirosConnect Pro, who is helping chiropractic practices rethink how they recruit, mentor, and retain associate doctors.

Dr. Kelli has practiced for 16 years since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport in 2009. Alongside her private practice in Columbia, Missouri, she built ChirosConnect Pro around a mission to help practice owners find aligned associates and help the next generation of chiropractors build meaningful careers.

In this conversation with Dr. Daniel Knowles, Kelli explores why successful hiring starts with leadership, culture, mentorship, and a genuine commitment to helping associates grow.

🎧 In this episode, you'll discover:

  • Why the traditional chiropractic hiring model needs a new approach

  • What Kelli calls the "Fezziwig Experience"

  • How to shift from practice technician to practice leader

  • Why hiring from desperation creates challenges

  • How mentorship can strengthen associate relationships

  • Why associates want a mission and a clear growth trajectory

  • How appreciation and fair compensation support retention

  • Why your culture can become a competitive advantage

  • How aligning an associate's goals with your practice vision creates opportunity

  • Why associates are investments in your practice, your freedom, and chiropractic's future

The "Fezziwig Experience" centers on creating an environment where your associates can see a future, develop their skills, contribute to the mission, and pursue their goals within your practice vision.

That begins before their first day.

Introduce them to your team and practice members. Create clear expectations. Communicate with curiosity and intention. Mentor them. Give them opportunities to grow.

When you rise as a leader, you create opportunities for the next generation to rise with you.
